During my research for descendants in the family tree I did found a member born in Indonesia (1897, Oleh-leh) named Anna Wilhelmina Boer (a very common name in the Netherlands where the family originally came from). She was the daughter of Wilko Boer and Lijffien Jansonius.
She married and divorced Dirk Bernard Jochems, and her 2nd marriage in 1926 was with Jan Paulus Marinus Stibbe, a sea captain during WWII and also Dutch origin. With him she went all over the globe: they left Indonesia, came to the Netherlands, and went for Singapore, and after that it was Japan. In 1942 they lived in Indonesia again (Soerabaya). Finally they come to the USA and they settled in Washington DC, according to a message in a dutch newspaper. It looks like the couple took the American nationality. I have never found any children of them but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t any.
From that time of i lost track of them. Allthough JPM Stibbe remarried and his 3rd wife was called Kathe S Campbell. According to ancestry.com there are several files of Jan Paulus Marinus Stibbe, two divorces are mentioned. I know he divorced in 1923 Martina Zaalberg, but I am wondering if he divorced Anna. And I want to know when the last 3 members (Anna, Jan and Kathe) died and where they are buried. Is here someone with access to the files mentioned on ancestry.com who can and will assist me?
Thanks in advance from the Netherlands,
Fred H. Boer
