According to the Family Record of Stewarts for Four Generations by John Gilpin Stewart, n.p. n.d. [Washington Co, IA 1900]
Family Record--
This book contains a history of a family of Stewarts who emigrated from Scotland to America in the year 1771, and
settled in the State of Viriginia, in different parts of the State, named respectively, James, Benjamin, Perry,
Thomas, Jeremiah, and Richard. Thomas settled in Hampshire County, Va, near a noted hill called Short Gap, on
the public road four miles north of Frankfort. The above named brothers were said to have one sister, Ann Stewart.
James, Benjamin, Perry and Richard settled in various parts of Virginia, now unknown to the writer of this history. These Stewarts came from or near Edenboro [sic] to the United States.
Benjamin Stewart married Mary Chisholm, daughter of John Chisholm, and settled in Frederick, MD, where they had:

Does anyone have any information on their descendants?
John Gilpin Stewart's Family Record contains mostly information on Jeremiah Stewart's family, which I'm in the process of verifying.
Would also like to hear of anyone else with info on these brothers. I don't know yet how they are related, if at all, to Edward or Alexander of Frederick Co.
