I realize I am several years late with this. However, in 2001 I posted on a message board for info concerning Marion Stewart that had been married to Udell Oliver. I was mistaken. The Marion I am referring to was born around the time you mentioned. In 1942 he wrote on his draft card that he was 62 years of age...putting his birth year around 1880.
