MRS. GEORGE (MARY STEUER) BERLET
JULY 9, 1909
The death of Mrs. George Berlet occurred on Thursday (July 8) morning at about five o'clock at the Chatsworth sanitarium, where she underwent an operation last week.
Mary Steuer was born in New York City, November 20, 1853. At the age of twelve, with her mother, she moved to Kankakee, Illinois, where they resided until 1869, when they moved to Chatswroth. On February 22, 1875, she was united in marriage with George Berlet, since which time she had resided in Germanville township. Before leaving New York she united with the Evangelical church and remained a consistent member until death.
Mrs. Berlet is survived by her husband and seven children as follows; Lizzie Drilling; John, Edward, Amelia Perkins; Albert, George and Mayme, the last three being still at home. Two sons and one daughter preceded their mother in death.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning July 10, at the Chatsworth Evangelical church at ten o'clock and interment will be at the Chatsworth cemetery.
