No promise there is a link, but there was a glass maker in the 1600s named Michel Andres. He and his wife Appolonia Krieger had something like 12 children. Most of them married into other glass making families. (My direct ancestor was one of their daughters who married a Schwoerer). Another married a Stenger. So there may be a connection to this family but it is a thorny and twisty road with lots of disagreements among the descendants.
