I would like to share a success story with all of you researchers.
Sometime ago I submitted my
Steinke family Group Sheet to Leona
Gustafson who, as most of you know, maintains the
Steinke Family Genealogy web site. As a result of that posting a long "lost" member of my
Steinke family tree, who was not at all interested in genealogy, found me. This relative had done a Google search on her own name and the search located my family group sheet posted on Leona's site. She immediately sent off a message to me asking "are you a
Steinke?" Needless to say we have been communicating quite regularly, and my knowledge of my
Steinke roots has grown exponentially.
The moral of the story is: post those Group
Sheets
