On mY hubbys side of the family His granmother is an evelyn steel from the Barnsley area. I don't have any details apart from that she married a Ramskill

I am trying to get beyond Sarah Ann(e?) Steel born about 1899 in Lofthouse Gate, Outwoods, Wakefield who was unmarried mother of my father Freddy Steel(e added by zealous Registrar)born 1916 in Outwoods.
I think that Sarah Ann's parents were Richard and Fanny Steel from Outwoods

Paul, After years of researching my own family, I have started on my husband's = Steel. Many lived in Yorkshire but originally came from Stroud, Gloucestershire.
