I too am searching for Stays in/around Plattsburg, NY. I am looking for a Ruth Stay, born in Plattsburg, NY, 30 May 1898. She was the daughter of a James Ingram. Mr. Ingram and his wife died in an automobile accident and Mr. Ingrams' sister adopted Ruth. I do not know the sister's name or the name of her husband, all I know is their last name is Stay.

Ruth married Willie B. Archer in Plattsburg, 29 April 1919.

Sure hope we can make a connection as Ruth (GoGo) Stay is my grandmother and sure would like to locate some of her New York kinfolk.
