Just read your old post from December. I have been tracing this line as well. Edward Statham is my husbands ggg-grandfather. I've been running across a few bits of information here and there, but can only confirm what I have seen on the census, and even that is questionable, at least as far as their ages go. Anyway, here is what I have:

1860 Census - Haralson County, GA, Draketown Post Office:

D. Statum age 49
Orry age 38
Edward age 16
Martha age 13
David age 10
Charles age 6

1870 Census - Polk County, GA, Van Wert Post Office:

Edward Statom age 22 (in houshold of William Calhoun)

David Statom age 60
Orry age 58
Martha age 23
David age 18
Charles age 16

1880 Census, Polk County, GA, Van Wert

David Statham age 68
Orrie age 65
David age 25
Mary age 19 (daughter-in-law)

So far have not found Edward in 1880. These census entries all appear to be the same individuals but their ages do not stay consistant with 10 year intervals. So either they didn't want to reveal their ages, or someone took a guess. I don't know what to make of it.

Also, I have the 1910 Census from Polk County, Esom Hill District - with James W. Statham age 25 and family, and (John) Robert Statham age 22 and family.

I did find that Edward and Annie (Anny) married on 10-8-1872 in Haralson County, GA. Also, I found that Edward served with the Haralson Brown Guards for a time during the Civil War - 35th Georgia Regiment, but later was transferred. I can give you that info if you don't already have it.

Anyway, would like to correspond with you on the family, and see if you have found any further info. Right now I am trying to see who David Statham parents were, only thing I have now is that in 1880 David indicated that his father was born in Virginia. I feel certain he is a decendant of Love, but from which son (John or Charles) or grandson, I have no idea.
