Here's the ancestry of James Logan Starr who married Florence Ikerd. I'm not sure who the George W. Starr is that you mention in your message on the Ikerd board.

Jacob Starr and wife of Lincoln Co., NC had son Phillip Starr in about 1780, before relocating to Lincoln Co., NC, possibly in Guilford Co., NC

Phillip married Elizabeth Fry in about 1810 in or near Lincoln Co., NC

Elizabeth, Phillip and their first 2-3 children relocated from Lincoln Co., NC to Indiana about 1814

Phillip and Elizabeth had son Cornelius in Lawrence Co., IN in 1820. Cornelius m. Caroline Lilton in 1844.

Cornelius and Caroline had son James Logan Starr in 1855. James Logan Starr m. Florence Ikerd
