I, Mrs. Francis R. Starr, do hereby make application for a pension pursuant to the provisions of Articles 6204 to 6227, inclusive, of the Revised Civil Statues of 1925 as amended by H.B. No. 150, passed by the Forty-second Legislature at its Regular Session and all other laws of this State relating thereto.
I am a widow of Rev. Francis R. Starr, deceased, who departed this life on the 29nd day of October, A.D. 1906 in the county of McLennan, in the State of Texas.
I have not remarried since the death of my said husband (or in case of remarriage that I am now a widow); and I do solemnly swear that I was never divorced from my said husband. and that I never voluntarily abandoned him during his life but remained his true, faithful and lawful wife up to the date of his death. I was married to him on the 9th day of September, A.D. 1861, in the county of Clarke, in the State of Georgia.
My husband, the said Francis R. Starr enlisted and served in the military serivce of the Confederate States during the between the States of the United States, and that he did not desert the Confederate Service. I have been a resident of the State of Texas since prior to January 1, A.D. 1900 and have been continuously since a citizen of the State of Texas. I do further state that I do not receive from any source whatever money or other means of support amounting in value to the sume of $300.00 per annu, nor do I own in m own right, nor odes anyone hold in trust for my benefit or use, estate or property, either real, personal or mixed, either in fee or for life, of the value of one thousand dollars, exclusive of the home of the value of not over $1,000.00; nor do I receive any aid or pension from any other State, or from the United States, or from any other source, and I do further state that the answers given to the following questions are true:

The name Rev. Francis R. Starr has not been found on rolls of Co. B Georgia Hussars. Frank R. Starr, Private, Co. B Georgia Hussars subsequently Co. D 2 Batt’n. Ga. Corps CSA enlisted Dec 13, 1861 at Savannah and appears on roll June 20, 1862 Present. Other records show him discharged July 4, 1862 at Camp Vernon, under script laws by order of Gen. Mercer.

I, Elmore S. Grider do hereby certify that I am the person to whom is entrusted thepaying of the accounts and indebtedness of the late Mrs. F. R. Starr, who was a pensioner of the State of Texas, and whose file number was 33349 and whose original county was Cameron.
The said pensioner Mrs. F. R. Starr died on the 11th day of March, 1920, in the town of Brownsville, County of Cameron, Texas.
The pensioner died in the home of Mrs. L. S. Grider who was related to the pensioner as daughter.
That the warrant, which application is hereby made for, shall be applied to paying all or part of the funeral expenses incured by the said pensioner Mrs. F. R. Starr.
I further certify that the warrant for the current month has not been cashed by the pensioner, to the best of my knowledge and belief.
I am related to the pensioner as grandson and that my home is in the town of Brownsville, County of Cameron, that my postoffice address is Brownsville, Texas.

I, B. E. Hinlsley, do certify that I am undertaker in the town of Brownsville, County of Cameron, State of Texas, that I embalmed the body of Mrs. F. R. Starr, who died in the town of Brownsville, County of Cameron, State of Texas on the 11 day of March, 1920. That said body was prepared for burial by me on the 11th day of March, 1920. That said body was buried in the Waco Cemetery, which is located in the County of McLellan, State of Texas, and that I am of the opinion that warrant herein applied for should be issued to the said Elmore S. Grider who makes the foregoing application.

I, Jas. L. Reufro, do certify that I am a practicing physician, and that I attended Mrs. F. R. Starr in her last illness, and am of the opinion that her ailments were colisis (senility).
I further certify that I am of the opinion that the Mortuary Warrant above requested should be issued in the name of the aforementioned applicant, in accordance with act passed by the Thirty-fifth Legislature and aproved March 2, 1917.
