My maternal grandmother's uncle is Stanley Stankus (Stankiewiez)

He was born about 1904 in Lithiuania and came to the USA with his parents when he was 1 year old in 1905

His parents were Joe Stankus and Anna Stankus

They lived in Chicago

My grandma says that Joe thought Stanley was not his biological son and they did not get along well, so the story is told he ran away, I am not sure when this happened, but i believe it was when he was a teenager. She also said that my great grandmother and her siblings searched for him many times trying to find out what happened to him.

Sibling's of Stanleys(he the oldest): Helen(my great-grandmother), Bernice, Delores, Johnny (died when a teen), and Frank. My great grandmother and her siblings are the only known descendents of the Joe/Anna Stankus line as none of the other siblings had children.
