I'm researching the family of Willey Harry Stanhope Mayo.
He was born about 1851. Census records say in South America (British Subject. He married Sarah Ann Saggers in 1878 and they had at least three children. The third, Arthur Patrick, was born in India in 1884 while Willey was in the British Army.
At some point Sarah Ann remarried a Smith and Arthur Patrick took that name.
I'd like to know anything about what happened to Willey. I know that by the time his eldest daughter Gertrude married in 1904, he was deceased.
