Still researching Arthur STANHOPE(1799-1899). Possibly his father is Robert STANHOPE who helped to build the Lexington fort(Fayette Co. KY). I also know that Arthur married Polly Williams, daughter of Original Williams. Arthur and Polly's children were William Ann, Original Clarke, James D, Ellen, Nancy. James D. is my paternalggrandfather. I have hit a brick wall with Arthur's parents and siblings. Can anyone help? Thanks.
