I have only possible leads. Joseph B. Stanhope was from Woodford Co. and fought for the confederacy. He was captured and imprisoned until the end of the war. He does not appear to be buried in Lexington with his father. His brother, Alfred Wheeler Stanhope, also a Confederate, was killed in Midway in 1900. Interestingly, his brother's grandson was shot to death in Louisville in 1936.
