I have further information on Clarence Talbert Stanhope. He was my g grandfather. My grandfather was Ruben Fay Stanhope.
Clarence married Mary Scurlock Thayer in Polke County Minnesota. June 23,1907.(Marriage License) He and Mary both got claims on homesteads in Dawson County Montana in 1908.(BLM records)By 1920 much of the family including my grandfather and my father moved to New Mexico,Cedarvale, in the Gallina Mountains. By 1925 Mary had died and Clarence went back north where he died. (family records) I was born in New Mexico in 1942.
