Katheryn Louise Parks
Katheryn Louise Parks, age 92, was blessed to be called home on Wednesday November 16, 2011.

Katheryn was born August 2, 1919 in Urbana, Ohio to Mr. and Mrs. Walter and Bernice (Roberts) Stanhope.

Katheryn attended Urbana High School and later was employed by Drs. Victor Ray Fredrick and Clara May Fredrick for whom she worked for over 20 years and Mr. and Mrs. Ed and Jan Stocksdale. She retired briefly before returning to work for the Champaign County, Ohio Head Start.

Katheryn was preceded in death by her husbands, Marion W. Parks and John D. Thomas, parents, Walter and Bernice Stanhope, sister, Evelyn Stanhope Johnson, brothers, Gerry and John Stanhope, nephew, Van Stanhope and son-in-law, Harrison C. Joseph Sr.

Left to celebrate her life are her loving daughter, Sandra K. Joseph; grandchildren, Dr. Monique Marrow (Vincent), Harrison C. Joseph III (Cynthia), Dr. Joshua J. Joseph, Ms. Katheryn E. Joseph; great grandchildren, Michael Marrow, Phylicia Marrow, Merissa Marrow, Victoria Marrow, Aryanna Marrow, Sydney Joseph, Simone Joseph, Isaiah Joseph and Josephine Joseph; sister-in-law, Mrs. Vera Stanhope, niece Mrs. Shirley Lynn; great nephews, Stacy Mayes, Timothy Mayes (Kathy), Bill Lynn (Cathy); cousins, Ms. Marilyn S. Ivory and Mrs. Donna Moon Miller; her dear friend Mrs. Corolla Hill and many extended family and friends who lovingly refer to her as "Aunt Kay," "Jack" and "Sister."

The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2011 in the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 642 S. Main Street, Urbana, and from noon until time of service, 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2011 with Rev. Carl Vactor officiating.
