I would not be the Ellen you are speaking of, as my maiden name was Stace. My great grandfathers name was Edward, but he was not married to an Ellen, he was married to Eliza Bannister, then to Mary Ann Geary.
Do you know approx when your Edward was born. There was an Edward who married Nellie Woods in 1925 in Tamworth. If it is that Edward, he is a grandson of the original Edward (my great grandfather), so we would be connected.
We are organising a reunion of the Stace family (James & Philadelphia) who arrived in Australia from Sussex 175years ago next year.
