I have found that the second of the ten children, Friederike Marie Johanne Staack, also came to Chicago. This makes eight of the ten siblings who are known to have come to Chicago or to the German settlement in Iroquois County, south of Chicago.

Some important things to note.
- She went by Mary in America.
- Her husband went by Herman in America.
- Their surname was spelled KUHFAL in America rather than the German spelling KUPHAL.
- Her parents are explicitly named, so that there is no doubt that this is the right person. The only other Illinois death record of one of the children that I found in FamilySearch that showed Sophie Fitzdam was Bertha (under her second husband's surname GIELOW).
Her husband was shown as Johan Kuphal of Beseritz, born 21 Aug 1842, in their 14 Oct 1871 marriage at Spantkeow.
