I didn't find a birth on or around 28 April 1794 for your Charles at Maskinonge. Who did he marry?

Re: Louis St-Antoine m. 1844 Emerance Lafreniere
Shari, Charles St. Antoine married in Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin to Margaret Provencalle, daughter of Louis Provencalle and a Sioux Indian Maiden. In all historical accounts of him the only information gathered was that he was from Maskinonge and had an uncle or brother named Joseph who stood his surety for his last voyageur trip for the Mackinac Fur Company in what is now the United States. I am trying to research who his parents were. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Charles St-Antoine of Wisconsin and Minnesota
The only "new" avenue of research I could find is:
Eric Jonasson, Canadian Veterans of the War of 1812, Wheatfield Press, Winnipeg, 1981; pg 58: Pvt. Charles St. Antoine, living in 1875 at Faribault Co., Minn.
In 1815, Charles was supposedly living in Ontario. He was of Gen Brock's Company.
If something else occurs to me, I'll let you know.
My St. Antoine line drove me nuts for years and finally broke when I found the brother of my great-great-grandmother.
