Thanks for your reply. I know little of my St Andrew ancestry apart from the fact that Michael St Andrew, a mariner married Betty Boone in 1756 in Boldre, Lymington Hampshire which is in the New Forest and close to the English Channel. Family legend always said that we were descended from St Andrew of Brittany. Until I began my research some 20 years ago no-one knew where the legend began. Was Michael French ?. It did not state that in the Parish Reigisters at Boldre. I live in Lancashire England. As you will see from my middle name I have a strong Cornish ancestry.

Dont know too much but my ancestor was Michael St Andre or St Andrew. He was said to be a mariner on his marriage at Boldre in Hampshire UK to Betty Boone in 1774. Family tradition called him St Andrew of Brittany. Alan
