Jessica,

I know that this may sound strange, but I believe that you are my niece. Your father, Ted, is my brother. You have three other siblings, Crystal, Teddy and Raquel. Is that right? Well, my name is Jennifer and my father, your grandfather i think, is Ted St. Andre as well. It would be great to hear from you since the last time I saw you you were just a baby. Email me at jsaint@hotmail.com.

Can you go back any generations and find your family in the state where you live. Check the Bureau of Vital Statistics and you can get your tree started as far back as they were in the county (Parish in Louisiana) and go to the site of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, and you can find a lot of information from them. I don't know the e-mail address but they have churches all over and if you will check out the church, you may use their equipment to gather a lot of information. Our son (David) is the one in our family that started it all and I just try to keep up and once in a while I send out information. At present someone "Got into my Computer" and erased everything except my K drive which is an external hard drive, so I have to start all over collecting info, and find a disc to redo my CD burner. The name St. Andre as applies to my family began with Pierre Botquin (some lists it as Botien and some as Boutquoin) in St. Pierre, Sauman, Anjou, France. He and his wife, Marie Claude Bourgouin migrated to Canada while he was a soldier in the French army.
I am in the process of trying to get my burner working and if I am successful, then I will print up CDs to send out. I can not send a tree over the internet because of the personal information.
Keep in touch. My e-mail address is: lcstandrie@yahoo.com
and I would be glad to correspond with you.

I do not know why I have not seen your request before, but I am a descendant of Andre St. Andre that migrated to Louisiana with his brothers Jacob and Jacques. They settled in the Cane River area of Natchitoches Parish and I have a good tree following Andre, Jacob and Jacques and will share it with you if you will send me your postal service address. I live in Weatherford, TX (26 miles west of Fort Worth) and our son has finished a freat tree for me and the rest of the family. Be glad to share it with you. Where did your grandfather come from? I came from Montgomery, LA and wandered all over the world before settling here 14 years ago. Will look for your reply. My email address is: lcstandrie@yahoo.com if you care to correspond.

St. Andre is not a common name. My father was Richard St. Andre. My grandfather was Henry St. Andre. My grandmother mother was Ida Benoit. My family line comes from the Worcester MA area. I have found that there is a line of St. Andres in New England, Louisiana and in the upper midwest... those seem to be the starting points - now I have found St. Andres in many states. I have encountered a few that I believe can be traced back into my family tree. Canada seems to have many St. Andres. I have heard before of a possible soldier connection with how St Andres arrived in the New World.
