My Mum is looking for any info re. her grandfather's brothers, who came to the US in the late 1800 (1890-1900). Their names & birth dates were:
Piotr/Peter, born 20 Oct. 1864,
Ignacy/Ignatz, born 11 Dec. 1869,
Leopold, born 04 Oct. 1871;
all born in Wolica Pusta, Jarocin region (Poznan (Posen)). Their parents: father: Ignacy (Ignatz) Sroczynski, mother: Tekla, (maiden: Dostatnia).
Piotr & Leopold settled in/by Chicago, and they both were owners of vegetable farm (for sure at the of beg. 20 cent.).
Piotr then lived in Chicago at 4855 Oakdale Ave. - about 20-ties. Piotr son, Roman, was a pharmacist and had a pharmacy in Chicago (5359 Irving Park Blvd) - about 20-ties.
He married Felicia Balczyniak (ceremony at St. Jadwiga Church - corner of Webster/Hoyne (?) in year 1926 (???)). We have an article from Polish "Dziennik Chicagowski" titled: "Poslubila Aptekarza Sroczynskiego" - no date available.
We do not know much about Leopold.
There is no info re Ignacy. He seemed to disappear.
Any source or information, please.
