STRUTHERS, Ohio – Laura Diane Slanina entered into rest Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013.
Laura was born Aug. 1, 1972, in Youngstown, Ohio (Mahoning County) the daughter of Gary and Ruth Buchanan Srock.
She was a graduate of Springfield High School.
Following graduation, Laura attended Youngstown State University for three years.
Laura was married to John E. Slanina. As a homemaker, she was a loving wife and caring mother to their three sons, Steven, Joseph and Drew.
She enjoyed singing, writing and spending time with her family. Laura was an accomplished writer, with one of her articles published in Women’s World.
Memories of Laura will be carried on by her husband, John; her children, Steven J. and fianceé Kayla R. Lehman, whom Laura loved as her own daughter, Joseph K. Slanina and Drew G. Slanina; her sisters, Pamela (Steve) Simmons and Deborah (Brian) Wood; her parents; her stepmother, Billie; her nieces and nephews; and her friend since first grade, Debbie Sabol.
A service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at 6 p.m. at the Bethel Church of the Brethren, 4023 East Calla Road in New Middletown, Ohio.
Arrangements for Laura were entrusted to the Borowski Funeral Service and Oak Meadow Cremation Services.
