JAMES SRNA
James Srna, lifelong resident of Delphos, died suddenly at his home, Thursday afternoon. He was born on a farm 6 1/2 miles southwest of his present home on July 7, 1889.
A son, William John Srna preceded him in death January 22, 1944, while serving in the U.S. Air Force.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred Srna, one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Smith of Plainville and Mrs. Ross Skinner of Kansas City, Mo. One sister, Mrs. Mary Koller of Ada, two brothers, Frank of Lincoln and George of Delphos.
A requiem high mass was offered by Rev. Bevak for the repose of his soul, Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. September 6, at St. Paul's Catholic Church.
Rosary service was held at the home Sunday evening at 8:00 p.m. The mass was sung by Leo Richard of Meredith and Willa Krone of Delphos. Beatrice Lenneau of Aurora, was the organist.
Pallbearers were Vincent Steinbrock, Gordon Zajic, George Krone, Emmett Srna, Frank Kosar, Jr., August Cerveny.
Chaput Mortuary was in charge of funeral arrangements.
(An article one the same page states "burial was made in Bohemian National Cemetery southwest of Delphos.")

(Patricia Boucek Smith was actually his niece. Frances Hurley Srna Skinner was his daughter-in-law.)
