Greetings from the US Ralph! I can see that you have already heard from Hope (Hi Hope). I had the pleasure of "meeting" her after my Oct. 1 post and she helped me make my Schrammeck connection to the rest of her line. Unfortunately, though much has been searched on this side, little new info has been uncovered.

Our Henry was born Feb. 7 1852, Bohemia is all we have. In the 1900 census Henry states he came to the US 1858. As Hope stated, family legend states that he and a brother and father with possibly the mother all come to the US. It is also stated that she died when they were young so it's possible she didn't make the trip with them. It's also said that Henry's father dies when they are young and the 2 boys separate at an early age (Henry being about 12 maybe).

He states his place of birth in the 1880 census as Boehmia, both parents Germany. In 1900 states all 3 Germany.

About 1881 he married Clara Ann Burch (dau. of John Burch) and have the following sons: Hugh, Ivon, Walter, Wallace, Clifford, Robert, George and Victor. Only 1 daughter, Oddia who is my great Aunt. From the looks of the childrens names, it doesn't appear that they followed any traditional naming patterns when naming them as there is no son John (for Clara'a father) amongst them and we believe we have all the children accounted for.

It certainly looks like a possible link between Leopold and Henry but we sure are skinny on info here. My last correspondence with Hope, I urged her to obtain Henry's death cert. as that should name Henry's father and mother, as long as the informant knew the info. I'm not certain where she is on this part of the project and this info could prove most important. Here's your nudge Hope!

Please keep in contact with us, my email pzeirott@aol.com. Would love to get this family connected and further back. If we are successful here might enlist you for help in my Zeirott/Zierott line!

Great hearing from you! Talk with you later. Pam
