Although there is no solid proof it is very very likely Amzy Squier is the son of Odel Squier who was b abt 1782 in NJ. During the 1870 Census Amzy age 54 & Odel age 87 resided in the same household. During the 1860 census they resided on adjoining lots. Odel is likely the brother of Jesse Squier b 25 Oct 1776 Long Hill,NJ. Both Jesse & Odel Squier resided in Mendham,Morris,NJ and were members of the church there. Jesse named a son Odel who was bapt 21 Aug 1808. Now it gets complex as I believe that Jesse & Odel are among 9 siblings who were the children of Samuel Squier & Rhoda Kitchell who were married 2 Nov 1774 Morristown church. Samuel Squier resided in Squiertown,NJ now Livingston which I can prove as he is mentioned in the will of Capt Elijah Squier.
