Hello Isabella, My name is Shasitty Square. I am sixth generation of the Square family here in the US. The Square family originated from Scotland and England, starting in the 1700's and migrated to quite a few places from there. We are of many races and nationalities. Our family is huge. Please contact me, so that, I can inform you of what I was taught and what I have found and where to search for yourself. I just saw the names of some of your family members today.

Hi Shasitty, My name is Steve Lovell and I have found James Stevenson and Isabella Square in my family tree: I am a descendant of their daughter - the union of Isabella Stevenson and John MacGilchrist both born circa 1827. This is a cold thread, I notice, so I feel as if I am leaving a message in a bottle to float across the ocean of time; if the note reaches your shore I'd be pleased to learn anything you might tell.

Hi My name is Paula and I just came across your message on this board. My great grandmother's Maiden name was Annie Square from Smith County, Texas. She married Mose Miller and died when my grandfather was a toddler. So my grandfather was raised by his Uncle Will Square and his wife. According to the Census and what few photos I have the Squares and Millers appear to be bi-racial in heritage. I would love to have more information on the Square Family. I have done the ancestry DNA match confirmed we are descendants of Mansel Squares via Austin Square. I would love to hear from you.
