Dorathea Henrietta SQUANCE was born in Liverpool 2 August 1838, the youngest daughter of a Wesleyan minister, Rev. Thomas Hall SQUANCE and his wife Dorathea Diederika Frederika CONRADI (who was the daughter of the Governor of Dutch Java).
'Dora' SQUANCE was for a while a Governess (1881) and by 1891, a teacher of Music in Bishopwearmouth, Co. Durham. She died 2 Jul 1915, aged 76.
If you are interested I have extensive details of her father's life - he (along with the Rev. Thomas COKE) took Christianity to Ceylon and founded Jaffna College.
Hope this helps.
