How interesting! I, too, have been a tennis player since I was 13 years old. I played every day, sometimes as much as 3 to 4 hours each day and ended up on a Ladies "A" team travelling around Toronto, east and north of it as well. It ended up that I had to have two hip replacements so my playing any more was not to be.If you give me your email address, I will send you the page I have on the eleven brothers and sisters from Francis Squair and Catharine Rose that I have.Alexander and Robert Squair came to Bowmanville, Ontario just 30 miles east of Toronto and my grandmother, Kate Squair Billing, was well acquainted with them. She used to take her family(altogether she had ten children) out to the Bowmanville farm for visits which the Billing children loved to do. My Aunt Laura used to tell me that the children used to pick thimbleberries out there on the Squair farm.

I have in my records that James Mein Squair was born on July 1, 1837 in Auldearn, Scotland. I didn't have his death date but I have his marriage date as April 11, 1873 in Campden Hill, Scotland to Janet "Jessie" MacKillican in June of 1873. Jessie, as she was known, was born on May 7,1841 in Seafield Mill, Inverness, Scotland and was christened on May 18, 1841 in Inverness, Inverness, Scotland (all information about Jessie came from the MacKillican family tree).

I do have a photocopy of a handwritten letter by Gertrude Squair written to my first cousin George Billing who visited her, or them, during his enlistment in the United
States military.

I do not have a death date for Francis John Squair. Do you? and if so, could you send me a reply with the death date?
