I'm not sure if the reply I was working on got sent to you before I was ready so I'm sending this again. I know your post is almost ten-years old. I have been trying to find my husband's grandparents for the past few months, and just came across your post today. The name of my husband's grandfather was Frank Spychala and his grandmother was Victoria Spychala. The only place I have been able to find anything is on the 1920 Census for Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, and from the record of a stillborn child. Frank was listed as being from Warta Poland (Russia Poland on the Census) and Victoria from Sichow Galicia (Galicia Austria on the Census with Austria crossed out and the word Poland added. I have found that Sichow became part of the Ukraine and was part of Lwow which is not part of Lviv. Frank was born in appox 1893 and immigrated to the US in 1911. Victoria was born in approx 1897 and immigrated to the US in 1914. I haven't been able to find out anything else, but searching everything on-line and just beginning to go through a lot of microfilm to see if I can find their family name and a connection.
Did you ever find out any more information on this name?
