My husband is a writer for a local paper and was recently given an old scrapbook by a lady who said she found it in an old trunk she purchased. The lady thought my husband might could write a story based on all this info. Since I am into genealogy, he brought it all home to me to see if I could find out who the people are in all the old photos, letters, and cards. The lady told my husband that if he didn't want to deal with it, to just throw it all away!!! After going through all the cards, letters, newspaper clippings, and pictures, I can't bear to throw it away. Maybe there is family out there who would like to have it. It appears that this scrapbook may have belonged to Mabel Spradlin b Waldo Ark 22 June 1907 m Hubert Monroe Warrick b Decatur Al 1904. Her parents were Frank Spradlin b 1881 and Ila? Edwards b 1881. Most all the pictures have fallen out but when one opens the book, on the inside of the front cover is 3 pictures of her brothers who were killed in WWII: Cecil L. Spradlin, C. F. Spradlin and Herbert F. Spradlin.
On the 1910 C Morgan Co Al, there is a Hubert Warrick, Mother Maud Warrick age 23 widow, they are living with John T. Hubbard, Maud's father and Grandfather to Hubert.
I found Hubert on the 1920 and I found his death date, Nov 1972 Decatur, Morgan Co Al.
Are there any Spradlins out there who would be interested in this scrapbook?
