Ruth Elaine Spangler

LANCASTER: Ruth Elaine Spangler, 98, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 in Pickering House.

She was born on March 17, 1916 in Hocking County, Ohio a daughter of the late Homer and Laura (Patton) Sudlow. She was a member of Faith Memorial Church.

Ruth is survived by her son, Charles Kennard "Ken" (Marilyn Su) Spangler; grandsons, Trenton Frederick "Trent" (Julie) Spangler and Travis Layman (Tammy) Spangler; a great granddaughter, Kourtney Lea Spangler and two great grandsons, Bryce Andrew and Anthony James Spangler.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frederick E. "Fred" Spangler in 1986; brothers, Walter, Herbert and Norman and a sister, Edith Irene.

Friends may call Sunday from 2-5pm in the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 10 am in the Faith Memorial Church with Pastors Mel Truex, Frank Carl and John Beckett officiating.

Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
