Spacht, Charles E. "Chuck"

Charles E. “Chuck” Spacht
On Wednesday, March 26, Charles E. “Chuck” Spacht, 50, departed to be with Christ, which is far better (Philippians 1:23)!
Chuck was born to John and Barbara (Evans) Spacht on April 11, 1957. Both his parents preceded him in death. Chuck was saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ during the summer of 1975. For the next 33 years of his life he was passionately committed to proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ through the various callings in which the Lord placed him. After graduating from North East High School in 1975, he attended The Behrend Campus of Penn State University.
Chuck married his wife, Susan Lynn (King) Spacht,
on November 26, 1976. They were delightfully blessed by the Lord by the birth of three children, and later blessed again with the joy of three children-in-law through their children’s marriages. Ben and Iris (Spacht) Tresler reside in North East, Pa., Joshua and Carolyn Spacht reside in Jupiter, Fla.,
and Ryan and Danielle Spacht reside in Falls Church, Va. Chuck and Susan have also had the pleasure of being grandparents to their step-granddaughter, Porscha Tresler, daughter of Ben and Iris, and their newly arrived granddaughter, Mercy Adelle Spacht,
daughter of Ryan and Danielle. Along with the high calling of being a husband and father, Chuck was also passionate in serving the Lord as a diligent worker.
He served ten years as Minister of Youth
and Music at First Baptist Church in North East, and prior to that he worked for 15 years at the Electric Materials Company in North East. Exalting God through music and instilling the love of Scripture in others’ lives were his driving passions â?" “The Word of God, the Word of God, the Word of God!” Chuck’s life was also richly blessed with family. He will be missed by his brother, David, and wife, Kelly Spacht; and sisters, Susan Tatalone and Christine Smith. Chuck was also a much-loved uncle to several nieces and nephews, as well as a beloved brother-in-law and son-in-law. For the last five years of his life, Chuck attended Garden Heights Baptist Church, where he was very blessed by his precious church family. Chuck’s unshakeable confidence in God’s truth and in the God of Truth was steadfast through his deep physical suffering. Even as his body and mind failed, he continued to recite Psalm 63. As a final comment, Chuck would want to say, “For me to live is Christ and to die is gain” (Philippians 1:21). Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Rd. on Friday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Further visitation will be held at Garden Heights Baptist Church, 4224 McClelland, on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 11 a.m. conducted by Rev. Dwight Wagner. Interment, Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Chuck’s name will be used “for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that men of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.” (II Tim. 3:16, 17).

Rev. Dwight Wagner.
