This is the info from my husband's family.
We have traced our family back to Grindle, Switzerland. Franz Peter Spaar Jr. emigrated to America in the early 1800's (he was born in May 25, 1798). He was one of eleven children fathered by Franz Peter Spaar Sr. of Grindle and Elizabeth (Huegli) Spaar from Brislach. Franz Peter died in 1872 in Bally, Pennsylvania which is close to Reading, Pennsylvania, where my family was raised

Here is the email I got from Willi Spaar in Switzerland. His email address is-
willi.spaar@solnet.ch

I'm living in Breitenbach, 15 miles south of Basle (Basil?) and many Spaar's

His son was Augustus W. Spaar, born March 1845 who married Matilda Deysher. Could he be related to Franz Peter Spaar, Jr? Who were the children of Franz Peter Spaar? Bally, PA is very close to Upper Hanover Township, about 7-8 miles. You can contact me at bauernr@aol.com

After doing some additonal research and meeting another Spaar relative online. I have come to the conclusion that Peter Spaar and Augustus W. Spaar are the same person. In fact The full name of this person appears to be Augustus Peter Willam Spaar. He was born March 22, 1845. He is the son of Franz Peter and Elizabeth Wingart.
