Hello I was born and raised in Reading,Pa.Obviously my last name is spelled differently althought I've been told a number of generations back we had changed the spelling. My tracing has just begun so the best I can do is Gr.Grandfather Henry from Reading 1880. grandfather Paul 1908 and father James 1936. Any chance of being related. My date of birth is 1956. Looking for family. Please email me at foleysfolly@yahoo.com. Thank You.

Looking for information on the Deysher's of Berks and Montgomery County, PA in the mid 1800's.

I saw your posting that had the Deysher surname in it.

I am looking for information on Elizabeth Deysher born in Berks county, PA about 1867-1868. Don't know her parent's names.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

The only Deysher I have in our family tree is Matilda Elizabeth Deysher, born 2/28/1849 and married to Augustus Peter William Spaar in Bally, PA in 1869. I have no information about her siblings or parents...but probably there is a connection

Hello,

Years ago I sent you and inquiry about an Elizabeth Deysher an you replied with information concerning a Matilda Deysher. Matilda Deysher is my Elizabeth Deysher/Deisher's aunt. Matilda Deysher's parents were Jonas Deisher and Matilda Gilbert of Bally, Washington Township, Berks County, PA.

So that makes use some sort of cousins I suppose. I have developed some more information on the family should you want it.

Great grand daughter of Lilly Elizabeth Deysher/Deisher

Charlene:
I have recently traced this family back to around 1580. I am still reviewing the microfilm as there are some interesting events in the late 1700's that I have not yet resolved. I hopefully should be finished by this weekend. This might also be of interest to you and your Johannes Spaar quest, unless you have figured it out.

Emil Spaar was the brother of Johannes Spaar. Both were born in Langenthal, Bern, Switzerland. Emil and Johannes were sons of Johannes Spaar and Katharina Margareth Rufner.

Emil had two sons, Clifford and Claude. My grandmother Marie Elisabeth Spaar was the daughter of Johannes Spaar and Marie Glogger.

Anyway, let's share information while I have the microfilm.
