Jacob Sowers & wife Mary (maiden unknown) had five children, one was Elizabeth Sowers born c1750 married to John Campbell (born in Scotland). He died in Frederick Co. VA on 1809.

Their son John Campbell's will probated 6 Apr 1819, mentioned his mother-in-law as being Nancy CATLETT. He had married Dolitha CATLETT in Frederick Co. VA on 10 Mar 1803. It would appear they had no children.

In his will mentioned "my cousin Lucy Stephenson", she was the wife of Wm. Stephenson. They were married in Frederick Co. VA on 26 Feb 1816 and she was the daughter of Harry/Henry CATLETT & Miram Calmes.

The question is what surname: CATLETT or Calmes, did Lucy (CATLETT) Stephenson & John Campbell share.

The main reason I want to sort all this out is, I am looking for the maiden name of Mary, wife of said Jacob Sowers Sr. Was she a member of either CATLETT or Calmes families.
