Mrs. Bertha May SOWERS DAVIS, 69 years old, 4109 Woodland avenue, died last night at the General hospital after a brief illness. A native of Atchison, Kansas, Mrs. DAVIS had lived in Kansas City about fifty years. She was a retired dressmaker. Mrs. DAVIS was a Presbyterian. She leaves a son, Van C. SOWERS, 5026 Lydia avenue, a police officer; a daughter, Mrs. Elinor Elizabeth WARLEN of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas J. MALONE, Atchison and Mrs. Grant C. CULVER, 3021 Harrison street; a brother, Albert I. INGELS, 2914 Linwood boulevard, and five grandchildren, Stanley M. WARLEN, Sandra M. WARLEN and Stephen C. WARLEN, all of the home; Miss Joan Carol SOWERS, whose address is unknown, and Stephanie Van SOWERS, 5026 Lydia.
