I would love some information. My grandmother was Ann. There were other such as Tom and Len I believe. The mom remarried a mulvaney.

I have been researching the Souchereau Family as I am a descendant of Jean Baptiste and Sophie Sauve. Jean Baptiste's parents were Jean Baptiste born 1800 and Marguerite Lalonde born in 1807. Their family included:
Joseph b 1852 or 53
Etienne (Stephen) b3 Dec 1854 (my great-grandfather)
Marie b 1858
Zoe b 1860
Sophie b 29 May 1863
Saphranie b 1863
Moise b 1865 or 1857
Leone b 1867
Henriette b 1866
Anatalie b 1869
Josephiea b 9 Mar 1872
Marie Anna b 1876
Cleophee b 1853 or 1858
If you have info on any of these children, I would appreciate receiving it.

I am very interested in this family. I have been researching the Longamore name and found information that stated Langoumois as a variation of the Longamore name. More specifically I think Longamore may be an Americanization of the Langoumois surname. I Found a Paul Souchereau and Therese Chasles who I believe may have been ancestors in my line. Emilie Souchereau married Francois Dupuis on February 7, 1842 at Notre Dame d'Ottawa Church. There were no parents listed.

I also am related to the Souchereau line on my grandfather's maternal side who were from the Soulanges, Quebec area. My grandfather Odilon Constant, son of Maurice-Guillaume Constant and Emelie Souchereau, immigrated to Upper Michigan, Marquette sometime before 1900. Any info you might have on his parents married 31 Jan 1851 in St. Polycarpe, Quebec would be appreciated.

I am related to jacques Souchereau dit Langumois who immigrated from France and m. Suzanne Gauthier. Most of their decendants remained in canada but two of their chidren came to Detroit in the late 1700's I have quite a bit of genealogy if you are interested.

Most Souchereaus seem to be descendants of Jacques Souchereau dit Langoumois. I have a lot on the family but the Quebec data ends in 1799 and I don't have an Emelie. If you can find her father's name (probably though the archives of Quebec) and if he was born before 1799, I might be able to help you.

My grandmother was Mary Souchereau. She was born in 1856 in Quebec. Don't know exactly where. She married Isreal Valliere. Don't know exactly when, probably around 1880. They were in the U.S. at that time. They had seven children. I think her father's name was Joseph. Don't know mother's name.
