In my Family tree I have a Martha Ann Erskine b. April 12 1858
in Stebuben co. NY. She married Henry (Fred) Soffe Dec. 12 1875 Saginaw Co. Michigan. 2nd Married was to Edward H. McNally may 2 1897 in Grand Rapids, Kent co. Mi.
In an Affidavitfrom Simon L Chamberlin in 1887 states: Martha was married in his home. The ceremony was performed by Arnold J. West, a Justice of the Peace, of the township. Said Fred Soffe worked as lumver setter after the in a mill wher I (Simon) was a foreman.They lived together as husband and wife and raised children. But he died as I was informed. Martha A has remarried a man named Edward McNally,a Shoe maker.But I have not seen her for a long time, but my son has seen her since her last marriage.
Children of Martha and Henry (fred) Soffe are:
Fred Soffe - Bill Soffe - Amy Soffe - Grace Soffe - Bessie Soffe -
I'm not sure if this is your Grace or not.
