He was born and raised in Hawaii, and moved to Santa Fe to attend St. John's College. Henry was employed in Albuquerque by PNM for 23 years. He had a black belt in the Kojasho Karate system, a brown belt in Judo, and was a published author. He met his wife, Denise pursuing his passion for hunting with his dogs, first of waterfowl with his Labradors, and then of quail with his Brittanys, and was very active in both dog clubs for many years. In the last year when he could no longer hunt due to his health, he had taken up fly fishing and cooking, and very much enjoyed sharing both with his children. The family would like to express great thanks to the staff at Presbyterian Cardiac Cath Lab for their medical expertise, professionalism, and compassion during Henry's last afternoon. Donations may be made in his memory to either the Christian Children's Fund, 2821 Emerywood Parkway, Richmond, VA 23294, or CNMBC Brittany Rescue Fund, c/o Frank Day, 1330 Canyon Rim Drive NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112.
