Surnames: HOPKINS, SNOW, WALKER, HARWOODE, ROWLLES
See problems with the dates for three (3) Nicholas Snows in Middlesex between 1559 and 1599/1600. (and the mythical "Elizabeth" HARWOODE and the "Bowes, Yorkshire" problem) at
http://boards.ancestry.com/surnames.snow/2864/mb.ashx

See problem with any death date for Elizabeth Rowlles and the Mary (possibly Walker but maiden name never shown) Snow who didn't die in 1644 either since she was executor of an estate in 1666.

US & Int'l Marr Rec 1560-1900; the entire Family Data Collections Series; US/NE Marriages Prior to 1700; Pass. & Imm. Lists Index 1500s-1900s; Millennium File & AGBI are databases/indexes, NOT historical docs. The info was "extracted" (grabbed) by programmed computer sweeps through out-dated books and/or submittals from people who often were just name collectors. We need to -click on and -read the Green Leaf Hints before we save them to make sure they even make sense . Ancestry doesn't check images, stories, Green Leaf Hints, Find-a-Grave submittals, other trees or my comments for accuracy. Most of what's out there about this family has no documenation behind it and we know where most of the errors were copied from.

If you like to look up records for yourself see if you can find any baptisms or burials for the Snows mentioned above here:
A register of baptisms, marriages, and burials in the parish of ST MARTIN IN THE FIELDS, in the County of Middlesex (now Westminster) from 1550 to 1619 at
-- https://archive.org/details/registerofbaptis00stma
Marriage of Nicholaus Snow and Katherina (not Elizabeth) Harwoode in 1559 p 241. No other Snow records at that Parish through 1619 for Nicholas or Katherine. No baptisms of any children. We never see Nicholas and Katherine again on paper after their marriage.

SEE:
BAPTISMS ONLY (it says on the page) at ST. DUNSTAN, Stepney, Middlesex where Nicholas Snow and Elizabeth Rowlles were married 9 May 1599. Search baptisms by various year groupings at -- http://www.parishregister.com/searchpage.asp
No good Snow baptisms through 1652. We never see Nicholas and Elizabeth again on paper. He has no record of dying 1609 or 1630. She didn't die 1644 unless you count the "Mary Snow" who died who isn't Elizabeth.

The Nicholas who was baptized 25 Jan 1599/1600 (not 1598) might well have been the son of the Nicholas who married Elizabeth Rowlles. But he couldn't have also been the husband of Constance Hopkins.

We have nothing on Anthony or William for birth years or any mention of their ages in Massachusetts. There are no records that they were born in London. We don't know their parents.

Remember commoners in England didn't have middle names back then. None of the Pilgrims did. Only 3 of the men who signed the Declaration of Independence did. If you see a file that says one of the Nicholases married someone named Elizabeth Katherina Harwoode who was born and died in Essex or London then you know they copied from someone else, because there is no record for any of that.

Tricky families with no solid connection to each other. Not one single clue as to a connection. Just names that match. They might be uncles and nephews for all we know or came to London to get a bride and then went back home.

Good luck to us all.
