Bill, all I know is that my GGgrandfather, ISAAC ALEX. McGUIRT, was b. 1856 in Lancaster Co. SC, he married MARTHA ELIZABETH SNIPES, my aunt said "her dad was ALFREAD, (ALFRED) SNIPES, they were from GA.
