We are trying to complete a Snagg family tree. This family tree is presently restricted to the Canouan connection and excludes of course, the present generation. Is anyone out there interested is assisting us.

Dear Anthony,

Wow! At last a UK Snagg. We are so happy to receive your responce. Thanks for your reply.

Briefly - In the late 1700's at least two Snaggs (William and George) left England for the West Indies to begin life as Planter(s) on land granted to William by the King. This land was located on the tiny Grenadine island of Canouan. William had two known children - James Frederick and William Jr.. James remained and had many children but William went to Guyana (via England?) where he became Chief Justice - Sir William Snagg. Nothing is presently known of the original George.

Are you still interested? Can you still help us?

Thanks, Mark Netana

I commend what you are trying to do. I am the grandson of the late Janever Deroche who was a Snagg (I believe). I am in touch with her nephew Cecil Snagg who lives in London. I am interested in how your search develops - cousin???

Anthony,
Unfortunately, I am not much in touch with Cecil Snagg.
I will speak to my mother (Mary nee Sandy) and see what
she comes up with.
Blessings,
Gifford

I recieved my grandmothers maiden. She was not married. My father Norman O. Snagg, Sr. died in Jun '98. I have been interested in searching the Snagg's. Could it be we are related. My father's mother was named Rosalyn Snagg and she lived in the West Indies...can we make the connection?...

Hello
couldn't help but read. I live in
Canada but my father Eric Snagg is from Grenada born to Lynda nee roberts and Rupert Snagg. I can find out more for you if you think this would be useful. There are still quite a few snaggs living in grenada right now. Mostly on Richmond Hill.

Good day. I have been trying to research the Snagg/s family tree for a long time. My great grandfather is a Snagg/s from Canouan. My grandfather Ernest was born there. He migrated to Trinidad where he met and married Lillian Edwards. From there union were born 13 children. 12 boys and 1 girl. One of the 13 is my dad. He will be 100 this year and any information will be greatly appreciated. The reason I spell Snagg/s this way is because there has been discussion as to the s on the end. Thanks so much for your help.
