I am looking for John Calhoun Smith, b abt 1804 South Carolina, father of John Calhoun Smith b 1850 Alabama. There are two John C Smiths, father and son, in Tallapoosa Alabama censuses 1850, 1860, and 1870. I am wondering if those John C Smiths are my John Calhoun Smiths.
