We have information that she was born in Pennsylvania in 1771. Do you have any other information about the family? We know that Thompson wife's first name is Rachel, but we do not know her last name. (many have listed it as Briles, but that is, in actuality, another Rachel who's history is well documented. We only know that Thompson Smith paid taxes in Oxford Township, Sussex County, NJ in 1783. We think he was there with a brother Moses.

He had a sister Mary Smith who married John Peden in Christiansburg, VA in 1756. Her son, Moses, married Martha (cross cousins) in 1788 in Surry County, NC.

Any information about Thompson's Smith's residency in Pennsylvania would be appreciated.
