Still am lookin for any info on my great great grandfather Lenard/Leonard W Smith. My first post was 11 yrs ago. He didn't leave me much of a paper trail. And as far as I have gathered his is "not" related to the large Smith family in the same are that he was living at the time. The dates of him and this family do not add up anyway I try to "smash" them together to fit, just to have him with a family. So either dates are wrong but in the families none of the Leonards are married to a "Mary Jane HILTON Smith".

He lived in the area of Brookhaven & Lincoln Co. Lenard was also married to Mary Jane HILTON. Her father was John James Hilton & Mary B Taylor Hilton. Lenard & Mary had atleast 3 children that I know of in the 1880 census: Mary, Everett and Carroll. My great grandfather; their 4th child was born 20 Mar 1881 & died 10 Jun 1977.

If anyone had a clue of what I could do next or if anyone has a "Smith" that just doesn't fit into there family please let me know!! I would love to find some crumb or nibble on him before Christmas.
