An elderly lady by the name of Joyce Odum Smelley is getting ready to publish a large book on the Smelley ancestors from Scotland to Alabama. She needs a count by Jan 15 to know how many copies to order. Here is her synopsis if you want to order:

"Born into a very large Smelley family, I have read gravestones for 70 years to group and separate
1400 descendants for ten generations of William Smelley.
Ancestor lines are suggested for Smelley families in VA, NC, SC, and AL. Comprehensive and different!
There are 100 illustrations and vignettes: maps, charts, tax and census records, war records,
documenting originals, interviews, newspapers, 1750 Smellie house, 1800 Smelley house, and family pictures.
The book is 8.5”x11” hardback of 318 pages.
Prepublication prices are $55 plus $6 shipping for any number of books. Respond by 15 January 2014
to reserve a copy. I need a count. Expect a March delivery."
