I would refer any interested parties in first researching this man in the Library of Congress Chronicling America-which is a searchable online database that has Newpapers archived from 1866-1911 at this time and they are adding more. This man seems to have been somewhat of a bad person, but I guess that all depends on how you look at it. I would strongly suggest any person reading this romanticized version of this man and calling him a businessman would be like calling Bernie Madoff a great business man.
