Can you tell me anything about your Geo. W. Crain who married Caroline
Smallwood
? I am looking for more information on the Crain/Crane family who lived in Uniontown,
KY
. There was a George W, b. in 1855, the son of George W. Crain and Susan
Barrow
. The elder George W. was born about 1823 and moved to
Union County
from
Livingston County

Hi Linda,
Sounds like we have some definite connections. I know some of my

family went out west. Just found this out last year. I descend from Thomas and Lucinda's daughter, Caroline, who married George W. CRAIN. For more info, see my web site at

George W. Crain was born in 1855, son of Stephen and Eliza (
MILNE
)
Crain
. I have George's birthplace as
Missouri
. Stephen's father was
Jeremiah
Sparks
Crain
. You can go to my web page at
www.dcrandall.com
and click on the
Crain
History for more details. Interestly, both our George W.'s were born in the same year. I'm in the process of moving and don't have all my files, but know a lot of Crains did settle in
Kentucky

Hello! Thank you for your reply-this was an old posting. I did not have Emma's maiden name. My email is
lking1107@comcast.net
. I have a couple more blanks for Benjamin and Emma that would be great to fill. I grew up in Yreka-we were neighbors!
